Resources for strikers
Comprehensive Catholic Lectionary
We hope this resource will expand your knowledge and appreciation of women in the Bible and of the potential roles of women in Christian ministry and life.
Catholic Women Preach
Following the liturgical year, Catholic women will reflect on how the texts relate to all Catholics today with a special emphasis on the lives of women, their apostolic call, and their roles in the Church and the world.
Lenten E-course: Saintly and Subversive Women
A Lenten Series on Brigid, Hildegard, and Teresa, March 9 - April 3.
Each week, we will introduce the wisdom figure, share three stories from her life, and gather on Zoom to discuss the inspiration of their lives. These stories from across ages give us courage of heart and soul to follow their example and live into our wholeness today.
Freedom Fridays: Empowerment through Embodiment
Giving up patriarchy for Lent this year?
International yogini, Wambui Njuguna-Räisänen, and feminist chaplain-scholar, Lizzie Berne DeGear offer a powerful opportunity for community care and self-sovereignty. In three gentle yoga sessions we will learn to breathe deeply and practice sustainable self-care in the midst of dismantling systemic oppression. All are welcome and no prior experience with yoga is needed.
Every other Friday during Lent: March 14, March 28, and April 11 @ 1- 2:15 pm EDT. Each session will include orientation, reflection, meditation, a 45-minute practice and time for Q&A. Sessions will be recorded and participants are encouraged to revisit them as often as you like in your personal practice.
$60 for all three sessions.
Lent. Wambui and Lizzie are offering this course at this accessible rate in solidarity with all who join the Catholic Women Strike movement this Lent.
